CURTISS-WRIGHT AWARDED $10 MILLION CONTRACT FOR VIRGINIA CLASS SUBMARINE PROGRAM

ROSELAND, N.J., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Curtiss-Wright Corporation (NYSE: CW; CW.B) received a four year contract award in excess of $10 million from General Dynamics Electric Boat to provide sub safe ball valves to the US Navy. These valves will be utilized in critical service systems in the Navy's Virginia Class Nuclear Powered Submarine Program. Curtiss-Wright's Flow Control segment will perform the work at its East Farmingdale, NY, facility.

The contract was awarded to Curtiss-Wright Flow Control based upon its demonstrated ability to supply equipment of the highest quality and reliability as required by the Navy's Submarine Program. The contract is a multi-year procurement and deliveries will begin in 2005.
