Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program outlines our commitments, guidelines and policies which govern our behavior and business practices. By adhering to the principles contained in our CSR program, we will preserve and build upon the honorable legacy of Glenn Curtiss and the Wright Brothers while providing enhanced value to our shareholders and opportunities for our employees.
We endeavor to honor our commitments and enrich the economic, social and environmental aspects of the communities in which we live and work, thereby supporting the overall health and profitability of the enterprise and benefitting our employees, customers and shareholders.

What makes a world-class organization? It all begins with Core Values that provide a strong foundation for success. Simple in theory, the values of Curtiss-Wright are reflected in every aspect of our operations. To our employees, these are more than words on a wall – we all take these values to heart in our relationships with our customers and each other.

Applicable to all Curtiss-Wright employees and contractors, our corporate policies begin with Policy 1 – Code of Conduct and cover areas such as Ethics, Environmental, HR, Legal, Communications, and Finance. Further, it covers important topics such as employee privacy, avoiding conflicts of interest, and our commitment to an all-inclusive work culture.

The health and safety of our fellow employees is of paramount importance to the culture at Curtiss-Wright. We strive for a track record with best-in-class safety performance and believe that all incidents and accidents that negatively impact human health and safety are preventable. This commitment is reflected in our Environmental, Health and Safety Policy that guides the daily actions of all employees and every level of Curtiss-Wright management. We provide safe and healthy workplaces by proactively identifying and controlling workplace hazards, complying with regulatory requirements, and continuously improving our performance through our One Curtiss-Wright Environmental, Health and Safety Management System Framework.
A key component of our management system framework is to routinely monitor and measure our health and safety performance across all of our global operations. Consistent with the employee health and safety issues defined as material for the Industrial Machinery and Goods industry by the Sustainable Accounting Standards Board, we use the Total Recordable Injury/Illness Rate (TRR), and Days Away, Restricted or Transfer Injury/Illness Rate (DART) to measure and compare our safety performance with median and top quartile industry benchmarks. Our senior business leaders are accountable to the Corporation’s COO for their respective safety statistics and provide monthly updates on their progress against their respective benchmarks to the Corporation’s CEO and COO.
Employee Health and Safety Injury/Illness Performance | 2021 | 2022 | 2023 |
---|---|---|---|
Total Recordable Injury/Illness Rate (TRR)* | 1.49 | 1.69 | 1.32 |
Days Away, Restricted or Transfer Injury/Illness Rate (DART)* | 0.99 | 1.04 | 0.86 |
Fatality Rate | 0.00 | 0.00 | 0.00 |
A component of Curtiss-Wright’s Vision is to “…promote the well-being of the communities in which we live and serve.” With the help of our more than 8,500 global employees we pursue our vision through two distinct avenues or programs, Local Volunteerism and Corporate Philanthropy.
Local Volunteerism: Around the world, Curtiss-Wright employees take great pride in their local communities. They contribute both time and resources to multiple local charities and participate in organized activities such as road races, environmental cleanup events, food drives, and many other notable causes. Business units maintain and apply their own budgets for charitable giving based on local priorities and employees’ preferences. Through the philosophy of “local resources staying local”, Curtiss-Wright and its employees are making a difference in peoples’ lives every day around the world.
Corporate Philanthropy: Curtiss-Wright applies its resources at the company level through several avenues, including:
Curtiss-Wright makes sizeable monetary donations annually to charities and non-profit organizations aligned with both our legacy as well as our vision for the future. Corporate Communications, in collaboration with senior management, determines how to deploy our resources with a focus on institutions supporting the aviation / aerospace industry and the advancement of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education. Just a few recent examples of CW’s Corporate Philanthropy are the Niagara Aerospace Museum, the Glenn Curtiss Museum, and Classroom Central, an organization that equips students in need to effectively learn by collecting and distributing free school supplies to their teachers.
The Curtiss-Wright Sons and Daughters Scholarship Awards was established to provide educational opportunities to the children of Curtiss-Wright employees and their families to help off-set the rising cost of postsecondary education and promote academic achievement. Curtiss-Wright strongly believes that cost should not prevent a student from gaining access to higher education. The Company also strives to assist students in developing the skills and tools they need to become leaders of tomorrow in any career path they choose. Selection is based on academic and demonstrated leadership qualifications. This program is administered by Scholarship America® and up to 90 scholarships are awarded annually. Children of the CEO and his/her direct reports are ineligible to participate in the program.
Curtiss-Wright’s operational success and ability to continue to deliver state-of-the-art, reliable solutions is dependent on strong, long-term relationships with our customers and suppliers.
We are committed to becoming an indispensable partner with our customers, providing market leading technologies that reduce their risk and enable their long-term success.

As such, we drive our supply chain responsibly and expect our suppliers to comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct, including our expectations for Human Trafficking and Slavery and the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010.
